When was the last time you felt wild and free? Can you remember a time when you danced with untamed abandon? Or yelled back at the crashing waves?
Wild woman are an unexplainable spark of life. They ooze freedom and seek awareness, they belong to nobody but themselves yet give a piece of who they are to everyone they meet. ― Nikki Rowe
My heart and soul have been longing for the freedom to show up authentically and unapologetic. Often, it is just the negative voices in my head holding me back (albeit some of them are other people’s voices, complaints and criticisms that I am still holding onto). Other times it’s the culturescape and the “rules” of society that I let hold me back.
I know I am not alone in my longing for freedom and my unwillingness to stay silent or play small any longer. Women I have met across the globe have not only spoken, but demonstrated to me that they are breaking through the barriers of “polite” society and abandoning the harmful social construct of the “good girl.”
Their fierce hearts don’t settle between walls and their instinct is stronger than upbringing.
Fierce Tribe was born out of the intersection of so many of my passions and interests, photography, travel, cultural anthropology, and identity exploration, to name a few.
I live and love to create experiences that pull you out of your ordinary life, your regular day, and your set patterns. Whether you go bold and daring with war paint and feathers, or adorn yourself with ancestral fabric and jewelry, something shifts when we get outside the every day and show up different. We see ourselves with new eyes, we gain boldness and clarity, and others not only see us, but respond to us with new insight.

Much gratitude and love to my son, Joshua, who is the filmmaker and editor for the Fierce Tribe videos. He is a master at his craft, and brings out the best in everyone he meets. It’s an absolute joy to work with him to bring this vision to life. You can see more of his incredible work at You Can Call Me Joshua.
