A Better Version of Me

black, white, couple, loving

Relationships. They are the source of some of our most glorious and absolute worst moments. They refine us and in many ways define who we are and who we will become.

As I considered what I wanted to write about today, I thought about the launch of our Kickstarter campaign for Invisible Illness and how much my husband and I have gone through together since the day that changed everything.

All that we have experienced, from the depths of grief and sorrow, to high hopes and expectations… we’ve gone through it together. We are not the same people we were when we said our vows, nor are we the same people we were BTI – before the incident. Yet here we are, still together, still living and loving to the best of our ability.

As I pondered all this, I thought I’d ask him a few questions, via text of course, for some inspiration. He did not disappoint. He also didn’t know that was the intent of my questions so I think I got the real deal on his answers (I told him afterward and asked for permission to share).

So what are your lessons learned from relationship? Your reasons for loving and learning with another fallible human being? I’d love to hear them.
